Default Vantec 701A HDD Enclosure

Hard drive a little hot around the collar? We are looking at a great looking cooler from Vantec. It's not an enclosure, but rather straps to the side of your drive. Let's take it for a test drive.

Default

the graph (and the temp difference) would look way more dramatic if you cut off the bottom, say 30 degrees (that is, only focus on temp the differences).

cooling 4 degrees is pretty good, when there already is airflow present, but most people don't have extra case fan blowing on hdd
